I just completed all of the blocks for this baby quilt. Here's how I laid them out while piecing the blocks. I may have to rearrange them, but that's a little later - need to let it rest a bit.
SU suggested adding some color in between the blocks, perhaps with some sashing of colors in the center of the blocks. He's thinking like 1/4" sashing and I'm not sure I'm up for that.
Plus the deadline for this quilt is the beginning of March. Of course, if its a little late, no biggie.
The other option is some sort of applique.
I'll think about it, but I'll probably move forward with the way it is now. Gotta move forward!

I think it is just fine without any sashing. Will you be putting a boarder on it?
Strip piecing your colors and cross-cutting it to make a 1-inch finished inner boarder might be nice, and then a small outer boarder of the brown again... just a thought. 8-)
Looks great so far! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
I wasn't thinking of a border, but I was going to use the left over center fabrics to make the binding.
I'll think about your idea, although I'd have to get more fabric.
Looks really good! I don't think it needs anything else, but am not well versed in quilts.
I love the different sized, bright colored blocks on that brown.
I like this quilt. Great for a baby quilt. I've been making so many lately for my co-workers as well.
I like it as is. I like that some of the color blocks are larger than the others, and I like the way you've alternated them. I don't think it needs anything except to be sewn together! Good job.
