Ramblings

Ok. I know I haven't posted in a while. The Holidays kept us busy. We went to the SU's parents house for part of the holidays and that ended up with me getting a major head cold which then moved into bronchitis and sinus infection. Needless to say, all I did was rest.

The SU got sick the later that week and somehow hurt his back. So we were both sick and his back hurt. It hurt so much he was using very uncivilized language; which is how I knew it really hurt. However, with some medication he was able to move along. He's doing much better now.

I have been quilting the baby quilt for Baby H and am near completion. Somehow a pin got into or behind one of the applique circles and I'm determining the best course of action!

I'm also taking a beginner knitting class which was a lot of fun and boosted my confidence in my knitting skills. The second class is the following week. I've scheduled myself for a class on knitting a beanie hat. SU is very excited about that because he seems to lose his hat with somewhat frequency.

My ultimate goal is to be knitting socks by the end of the year. Holly, at KnitHappens, seems to think this is very doable. Its a good thing she is a great instructor and specializes in socks!

I've noticed that knitting seems to help my hands - they feel a lot more flexible. I've also noticed that as I've been practicing, I'm able to knit longer.

All of this means that I'm way behind on blogging and reading blogs. I plan on resuming soon.

Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear you've both been sick, and that R hurt his back. Hope you're both back in 'fighting form' soon.

Maybe we'll see you next month?

I'll bet you'll be knitting socks well before the end of the year. I started knitting in January and I took a sock class in May. The class made the world of difference with my success. Good Luck!
