Melon Cosmo

I got home after work and tried a new version of the Cosmo - the Melon Cosmo.

Here's the recipe:

• 1 part vodka


• 1/2 part Melon liqueur, or Midori


• 1-1/2 part cranberry juice

Seems I'm on a Cosmo/Martini roll. Otherwise, I've got nothing else, other than talking about Oracle, but I'm not certain that would be more interesting! Certainly, not as tasty!

The Partner and I are going to Signature Theater tonight to see "The Visit" with Chita Rivera and George Hearn. I've heard some good reviews.

We are meeting our friends Doug and Russ at the Thai restaurant in Shirlington.

Vanilla-Banana Martini

Last weekend, my partner and I went to visit our friends Mark In De for Memorial Day weekend and A blueberry weekend. Part of that was coming up with a martini recipe using Stoli blueberi vodka. That recipe is in the previous link.

In preparation, I found a whole bunch of recipes and needed to get a number of different liqueurs. One of those was creme de banana. So here's this recipe:

Vanilla-Banana Martini

• 1 part Stoli Vanilla Vodka


• 1/2 part creme de banana


• 1-1/2 part cranberry juice

Shake in a shaker with ice. Server in a chilled martini glass.

This is a very tasty drink. Some of the other drinks were way too sweet.

Alive and Kicking

I'm still around. Just been somewhat busy. Plus, I've been doing a lot of coding at work and at the end of the day I don't really want to be looking at a monitor!

Today we had a b*tch session at work. It was interesting. At the end of the session, my boss and I felt a bit better. There were four of us. I'm not confident that it will change things too much. It was primarily done to allow the other two to complain out in the open. They usually complain amongst themselves or to others. I guess they think word wouldn't get around. Of course, they had nothing to say in the meeting. Mmmmm...

I'd say more, but you just never know who is reading these things.
